Information for Authors

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

- The board size is 4' x 4' (122 cm x 122 cm).  You can use A0 poster size (84 cm x120 cm) either in portrait or landscape orientation.

- The posters can be mounted on Sunday (during satellite events) or on Monday morning  and will stay up throughout the entire main conferece (up to Wednesday closing reception).  

- We recommend including visibly your contact information (email), so that the participant can contact you at any time (additionally to the actual poster session presentation).

- Poster print can be arranged for the fee of $100, if you send us the PDF file by May 9. Please, contact us on FIMH2025@UTSouthwestern.edu, if you are interested. 

 

GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATION

- Oral presentation will be 12 mins + 5 mins Q/A. Please, stick to this timing to allow discussion and to avoid delays in the schedule.  

- You can use your laptop to project the presentation. We will have HDMI input and will provide an USB-C adapter. If you prefer, you can use the presentation computer with Windows (Microsoft PowerPoint format or PDF projected via Adobe Reader). 

- Please, email the presentation to FIMH2025@UTSouthwestern.edu by May 28 (preferably, including a download link)If using your laptop for presentation, this version will serve as a backup. You will be able to update your presentation file in the morning of your presentation.

 

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS FOR MAIN CONFERENCE (JUNE 2-4, 2025)

We solicit original contributions of conference proceedings papers related, but not limited to:

  • anatomical and functional cardiac imaging methods, and associated novel image analysis tools
  • anatomical, statistical, physical and physiological modeling of the heart
  • computer aided diagnosis, surgery, robotics and image-guided therapy
  • simulation tools and resources for cardiac modeling, as well as experimental validation studies
  • preclinical/clinical imaging and modeling methods related to fetal, pediatric and adult heart disease (acquired and congenital)

Guidelines for final version of accepted papers:

  • Reminder: Use the format of Lecture Notes in Computer Science: see LNCS template / guidelines
  • The final version is non-anonymized.
  • The maximum length of paper is not strictly enforced. 
  • Use “Acknowledgements” section for the funding information.
  • Beneath the (optional) Acknowledgments, please, include “Disclosure of Interests” section, for example: ”The authors have no competing interests to declare that are relevant to the content of this article”. Or: “Author A has received research grants from Company W, Author B has received a speaker honorarium from Company X and owns stock in Company Y, Author C is a member of committee Z.”

The best contributions will be selected by the FIMH scientific committee and invited to the FIMH2025-related special issue in Medical Image Analysis or Special Collection of JRSM Cardiovascular Disease (substantially extended version, papers from the scope of the given journal). The best papers of biomechanics/mechanobiology themes will be proposed for consideration to create a special issue at renowned journal in the field.
